EAS Features
The EAS is a Roon ready audio streamer with an integrated pre-amp and DAC and is capable of driving a power amplifier directly, thus replacing several separate units.
The EAS is equiped with CAAS Audio’s remote controlled, high precision, switched resistor volume control section and ultra linear, True Zero Feedback BJT pre-amplifier module.
The EAS incorporates 15 separate regulated power supplies and CAAS Audio’s parallel 176.4k up-sampling R-2R HDAC for unprecedented realism.
Connectivity
The EAS is equiped with SPdif, LAN and WiFi dongle USB inputs as well as two pairs of analogue inputs.
Outputs include, single ended & balanced variable level as well as fixed line level outputs.
True Zero Feedback "TZFB"
The EAS incorporates several CAAS Audio bespoke, ultra linear, ZERO feedback, BJT Class A buffer stage designed to reduce THD, IMD and TIM while providing the cable and load drive capability .
HDAC - Hybrid Discrete Digital to Analogue Converter
The CAAS HDAC consists of two Monaural, 16Bit ultra high precision LASER trimmed R-2R passive ladder DAC networks that are matched to an accuracy far beyond discrete matched networks. These passive R-2R networks are then DC coupled to CAAS Audio’s bespoke monaural True Zero Feedback (TZFB) class A discrete buffer stage to produce a DAC with unprecedented realism.
iTrans - Intelligent Buffering & Low Jitter Data Transfer
iTrans is a data buffering and ultra low jitter re-clocking technology that allows near perfect data re-clocking and bit perfect parallel line digital signal transfer. The iTrans transfer system allows vastly superior interfacing between the computer system with the parallel DACs, in comparison to standard S/PDIF or I2S interfaces.
